Thanksgiving Turkey and Pilgrim

The girls came home with some of their Thanksgiving holiday crafts they did at school. I just couldn't resist taking a picture of them together. It was ironic that Rylee was a turkey and Kailen was a pilgrim. They look friendly with each other, however!

This year for Thanksgiving, we went over to Nana and Papo's. Mom wanted to just have a ham, which offended Steve--it is not truly Thanksgiving in his eyes if you don't have a turkey. So, we bought one and deep-fried it (of course). The Grays (preacher and wife at the building) also came over. There was way too much food, but we had fun. The Aggies actually played tu on Thanksgiving day this year. Steve and I watched the game while our children viewed our erratic behavior. I think we might have scared them for life. They really couldn't understand why we were yelling at the tv! We didn't stay for the entire game--mostly because the girls were tired and ready to go home, but also because the Ags were losing. They played a really good game, however, considering they were outranked. It was a pleasant day.
