First Visit From The Tooth Fairy

Kailen lost her first tooth on her 6th birthday. It was so exciting. Here is a video clip leading up to the big event.

After much wiggling. The tooth finally fell out. I love this video because of the surprise on her face.

So the rest of the story goes this way. We were so careful with this little tooth. We plugged the sink to keep it from washing down the drain. We put it in this special sterling silver padded tooth box--made sure the lid was on tightly. We had a conversation about keeping the tooth safe so it wouldn't get lost. Then, she proudly took the tooth outside to show her daddy who was working in the yard. Carefully, she tried to open the box, but the lid was a little stuck and when it decided to come unstuck, the box got jiggled around and the little tiny tooth fell out into the grass never to be found. So, Kailen lost her first tooth twice. We had to write a note explaining to the tooth fairy what had happened. Luckily, she understood and left 8 quarters under her pillow. It was an exciting event all the way around.
